Enrichment

Enrichment—Reach Your Goals!

Developing Employability & Life skills

You are more than a certificate

At Boldon School we know that  we are a stepping stone to your future career and that academic success on it’s own is not enough to be competitive in the modern world. We encourage students to participate in enrichment activities so that they can effectively demonstrate the skills and qualities that employers, colleges and universities are looking for.

This is why we offer to every Post-16 student,  opportunities and guidance throughout their time with us.

Our staff are trained in careers guidance and supporting students through the process of applying to University, for college courses, jobs and apprenticeships.

You can work with our Post-16 Coordinator to identify enrichment opportunities that may suit you and the progression routes you plan to take. Boldon School is small enough to care, big enough to share!

Striving for Success—What’s on?

Post-16 students are encouraged to be at the heart of our school community and get involved as Student Ambassadors, Student Mentors or Student Reps.

There are many and frequent special events for charity fundraising, voluntary work, work placement, enterprise activities and study trips.

We are a specialist sports college so it goes without saying all our Post-16 students have free access to our excellent sports facilities including the fitness suite, sports hall,  gymnasium, swimming pool and all-weather pitches. For others we offer The Duke of Edinburgh Award, other sports groups and the Community Sports Leaders Award.

Don’t sit back, step up and stand out!
