Borneo Scuba Expedition 2018 – Parents Presentation

Tuesday 24th January at 18:30 in the Theatre

Following the success of previous expeditions, we would like to invite you and your child to attend the exciting launch of the Borneo school expedition in 2018, to learn more about the expedition, what’s included, things you can do to fundraise for your expedition and how to book your place.

Camps International are an award-winning social enterprise and expedition provider with 15 years’ experience in delivering school expeditions in 3 continents and 10 countries around the world.

During the presentation, the Camps team will go through the details of the expedition; the benefits your child will get from taking part, what the camps look like, the kinds of life-changing projects they will be undertaking, full details about the adventure element, which this year we have chosen to be a PADI Open Water Scuba Dive course, what the accommodation, food and conditions will be like and much more. The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes with time at the end for your questions.

Camps International support thousands of students in hundreds of schools to take part in expeditions such as this one every year. The expedition costs £4,290 and during the presentation Camps will explain the ways that students can fundraise most, if not all, of this cost. Furthermore, they will go through when and how to pay your deposit, and the payment plans and options specifically design to make this expedition a realistic achievement for all inspired by the opportunity.

From sign up, to departure all the way through to returning from your expedition, you are part of the Camps team and they will support you every step of the way from fundraising ideas and resources, to getting you ready for your expedition.

They will kick-start your journey by returning to school the following week to run a fundraising meeting where students will receive lots more resources to inspire a wide range of fundraising activities.

To confirm your attendance at the presentation, please download, complete and return the slip to Mr Parker at school. Alternatively, you can email

If you are interested, but unable to attend, please let us know and we can arrange for you to talk to the Camps team who will ensure you have all the details you need.
