Brief Description of the Course


Through design and make assignments and focused practical tasks, students will be given opportunities to develop graphical communication skills. The assignments will include activities related to industrial practices and the application of systems and control. They will also undertake activities in which familiar products are investigated, disassembled and evaluated. 

Making (product outcomes), take the form of 2 and 3 dimensional models.

This course will be of special interest to students who enjoy colour work, graphical illustration and a studio environment.

Method of Assessment

Coursework 60% Showing a range of illustrating, 3 dimensional realisation, designing and making skills, presented as a folio.

Terminal Examination 40%
