Subject Intent:

The History department intend to bring History to life and take students on a chronological journey of History at key Stage 3 which will prepare them for more in depth studies at GCSE. We believe that students deserve a broad and ambitious History curriculum, rich in skills and knowledge, which immerses students in a range of cultures. History staff will ensure pupils learn about events that have shaped their lives through debate, humour and storytelling as well as making many topics relevant to the local area of Boldon. Pupils will leave History lessons knowing why it is a vital subject to learn about and how without the past, our present lives would not be how they are today”.
