Peer Supporters & Wellbeing

At Boldon School we think it is essential that students play an active part in making our school more inclusive and safe for everyone. Our peer support program aims to tackle this issue and helps support students that are new to Boldon School making the transition from primary school to secondary that much smoother.

We currently have 2 Peer Supporters attached to each Year 7 registration group.

We advertise for new Peer Supporters in April with a view to giving out interviews (they must fill out application form and provide a reference from parent / tutor).

They are chosen to represent our school when we do Transition visits and are allocated new Year 7 mentees to support during Transition days.

They are awarded a badge and complete a full days training, where they will receive a certificate.
