Permanent Post –  Full Time or Part Time Job Share 37 hpw – Term Time only

Pay scale – Band 4 SCP 6

Pro Rata, Term Time Only pay = £16668 (37 hpw)

(Plus 5 extra paid days in school holidays if required)

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Science Technician who will be able to provide support for a busy and growing Science Department. Duties will include the preparation of resources and equipment for practical activities and ensuring that chemicals and biological materials are safely stored and disposed of when not required.  The successful candidate(s) will keep up to date with health and safety requirements and be committed to their own continuing professional development.  You will also provide general technical support for the department, help out when required with the school Science Club and Open Evenings.

We are seeking a colleague who is a team worker with first class communication skills who is committed to delivering an outstanding education for our students. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential whilst experience of working in an educational environment is highly desirable.

Hours of work are 37 hours per week full time but we would also welcome applications from those interested in a part time/job share position. There may be occasional flexibility of working hours, to enable work to be completed when students have left the premises or on Open Evenings.
