Young Carers

Am I a Young Carer?

If you are aged 25 and under and help to care for a parent, sister, brother,

grandparent or another individual because they have an illness, disability,

mental health difficulty or an addiction – you are a Young Carer.

You may have been providing care or support from a very young age, or

have recently found that you have taken on other roles at home.

If you think you might be a Young Carer please see Miss Bridgstock in Hu3 (Young Carer Champion) or Mr Welsh (SLT Young Carer Champion).

Why Come to the Drop In…

Why not come along to the Young Carers Drop In for a drink, a catch up and a snack with Young Carers Staff. School Drop Ins give Young Carers the opportunity to have fun with friends in similar situations, take part in a game of bingo or a quiz, speak to project staff about any issues they may have or to enjoy some much needed time away from their caring role.

Think you might be a Young Carer…
Pop along to one of the following dates and have chat to the Young Carers staff. They will able to point you in the right direction for help and support should you need
it.
