“Not only does this allow our students to flourish their creativity but to build a solid foundation for their confidence to grow.”
During this course, learners will have the opportunity to participate in national hair and beauty competitions where they will compete against schools and colleges from around the UK. This helps to develop their confidence and enhance their individual skills and creativity. Our advanced creative class runs as an after school club for individuals who want to broaden their abilities and demonstrate new skills and techniques, this allows learners to try new and exciting services and treatments while working with peers to improve their social skills.
During their time at Boldon School learners will take part in external visits and internal workshops, provided by specialists in the industry and local employers, to further showcase the hair and beauty sector and the opportunities it provides. In the hair and beauty department, it is our aim to provide a varied and inclusive environment for our learners to grow as individuals and to help them to progress in future career opportunities. We love to make sure our students have as many exciting opportunities as possible this is why our students have taken part in national competitions competing with others from around the UK to develop amazing hair styles and beauty techniques. This motivates our students and gets them involved in intense situations recreating work place like environments. Students get to enrich themselves in other styles that have been developed from different areas of the world and learn how beauty and hair styles are approached in different cultures. Hair and Beauty not only allows students to delve into their creativity but teaches them how to manage their finances and business skills enhancing the possibility of running their own enterprise one day.
