Governors are seeking to appoint a talented and inspirational head teacher who will build upon the existing strengths of Boldon School and further develop an ambitious quality of education.
Boldon School was judged to be good by Ofsted inspectors in October 2019. Since then, the school has continued its journey of improvement. The success of this can be seen in the increase in pupil numbers that have nearly doubled over four years, resulting in the school being full, and oversubscribed each year.
This is an exciting time to join Boldon School. Senior leaders and staff are committed to the school and work hard for the pupils in their care. Personal development is outstanding. Pupils are happy and thrive in a nurturing environment which supports their individual and sometimes complex needs. When youngsters leave the school, they are confident, have courage and resilience to flourish, no matter where life takes them.
The financial position of the school is improving, although there are still some challenges to be faced.
Governors are currently exploring options to join a Multi Academy Trust. This is in its infancy and the newly appointed head teacher will be central to the decision.

Governors are seeking to appoint someone with exceptional people skills, the ability to establish relationships with staff, pupils and families and further embed high academic standards.
